"Where the Sidewalk Ends" An Exhibition by Juli Balla

Opening Night 6.30pm - 8.30pm Wednesday 25 November at The Yellow House Gallery, 57-59 Macleay Street Potts Point.

The exhibition will be opened by Roger Leong, Senior Curator MAAS

Juli Balla’s new photographic exhibition is based on street photography from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Balla was also influenced by film stills from the same era.

“It intrigues me why people are so fascinated by documentary photography from another period of time. The images immediately take on a sense of mystery. I am capitalising on this notion. The aim of each photograph is to leave you with more questions asked than answered. The images evoke a feeling of suspended animation, while one tries to decipher what has just happened or about to happen.“

The exhibition is part of the BECKER MINTY Art season at the Yellow House Gallery, 57-59 Macleay St Potts Point.
"Where the Sidewalk Ends" will run from Wednesday 25 November to Sunday 6 December.

"Nushi" A new exhibition by Jacqueline Tiepermann

Opening Night from 6.30pm, Tuesday 17 November  at The Yellow House Gallery, 57-59 Macleay Street Potts Point.

“Nushi” is neither morbid nor sad; it is stories of memories, companionship, passion but most of all love.

This body of work was a vital step in Jacqueline Tiepermann's recovery after the accident which took the life of her beloved husband Hans. The paintings are created within a restricted colour palette expressing both the boat loving Hans' preferred blue tones, and Jacqueline's own commitment to using water as a dialogue in her work.

The exhibition is part of the BECKER MINTY Art season at the Yellow House Gallery, 57-59 Macleay St Potts Point.

"Nushi" will run from Tuesday 17 November to Sunday 22 December.

Opening Hours: Wednesday to Sunday 12pm - 7pm or by appointment
